Warranty

This warranty applies only to electric bicycles purchased through our official UK website at koolux.uk. If you purchased your bike from a third party or retailer, please contact them directly for after-sales service. All KOOLUX bike owners are entitled to contact the KOOLUX team for troubleshooting support throughout the lifetime of their bike. However, after-sales service must be handled by the original retailer.
Note: We do not ship to island regions such as Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica, Guernsey, Jersey, or the Isle of Man.
Replacement parts under warranty are shipped only within continental EU and mainland UK.
Please note: Electric bicycles are not intended for sale to persons under 16 years old. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or adult when riding and should wear appropriate protective gear.

Warranty Period

For the original purchaser
We offer a 1-year warranty for each KOOLUX electric bike, excluding all wear-and-tear parts. The warranty period begins on the date the original purchaser receives the bike.

For subsequent owners
We also offer a 1-year warranty for subsequent owners, excluding all wear-and-tear parts. Subsequent owners must provide proof of the original purchase, including the name and order number of the original owner. The warranty period still begins on the date the original owner received the bike.

Wear-and-Tear Parts (Non-Warranty Parts)

"Wear-and-tear" refers to damage that occurs naturally and inevitably from regular use of the bike. These parts are not covered by this warranty. Below is a non-exhaustive list of typical wear-and-tear parts excluded from the warranty:

  • Tires
  • Brake pads
  • Brake components
  • Tubes
  • Grips
  • Chains
  • Cogs
  • Lights and bulbs
  • Seat covers
  • Spokes
  • Pedals
  • Fuses

Improper Assembly, Operation, and Maintenance

  • Improper assembly or installation: Any issues arising from incorrect assembly or installation of the bike.
  • Accidents and negligence: Damage caused by collisions, negligence, improper repairs, inadequate maintenance, or abnormal, excessive, or improper use.
  • Unauthorized modifications or installations: Changes or installations of components, parts, or accessories not originally designed for or compatible with the product.
  • Corrosion: Damage caused by corrosion is not covered.
  • Battery damage: The battery is not covered for damage caused by overvoltage, the use of unsuitable chargers, improper maintenance, normal wear and tear, or water damage.

Clarification: KOOLUX is not responsible for damage, malfunctions, or losses caused by unauthorized services or the use of unauthorized parts.

Shipping Damage

This warranty does not cover damage to the product that occurs during shipping. However, KOOLUX agrees to replace such damaged products if the following conditions are met:

  1. You notify KOOLUX within seven (7) days of receiving the original purchase that the product was damaged during shipping.
  2. You promptly provide KOOLUX with photos and/or videos showing the date and details of the damage.

If you arrange the shipping yourself (e.g., through a courier or similar service), KOOLUX is not responsible for replacing products damaged during this shipping process.

Warranty Process

KOOLUX will not replace warranty parts covered under this limited warranty without first reviewing photos or videos of the damaged parts. To claim your right to replacement parts under this limited warranty, you must:

  1. Contact KOOLUX Customer Service: Reach out to the KOOLUX customer service team at support@koolux.uk. The team will initially work with you to diagnose the issue with your electric bike and identify possible simple solutions.
  2. Determine replacement needs: If the customer service team determines that a warranty part needs replacement, they will provide the necessary replacement parts and instructions on how to install them.
  3. Assistance with installation: Once you receive the warranty replacement parts, the customer service team will assist you with installing the new parts on your electric bike.
  4. Option for local repair: The KOOLUX customer service team may agree to let you repair your bike at a local repair shop and may offer to reimburse a portion of the repair costs.

Bike Theft

Unfortunately, theft of the product is not covered by the warranty. We recommend noting the frame number and serial number of your bike upon receipt. Consider purchasing insurance to protect your bike if needed.

DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES

THIS WARRANTY REPRESENTS A FULL AND COMPLETE STATEMENT OF KOOLUX'S WARRANTY FOR THE PRODUCT. NO OTHER REPRESENTATION OF ANY KIND BY ANYONE SHALL CONSTITUTE A WARRANTY FOR THE PRODUCT. KOOLUX'S LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL KOOLUX BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, KOOLUX HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE FOR THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY.

Some states, provinces, or countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply. If a court of competent jurisdiction determines that a specific provision of this warranty is not enforceable, all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
